Bunnings buy Simple Green Shower Glass Restorer behind shopper’s ‘amazing’ shower transformation

An Aussie mum who left social media stunned with her "amazing" shower transformation, has revealed the simple Bunnings buy she used to achieve it.

The shopper took to the Mums Who Clean Facebook page to share some epic before and after photos of her bathroom.

Sharing the pics with a simple, smiling emoji, the mum's first photo showed her shower screen lined with grime and water marks.

A second photo, however, showed the same screen sparkling clean - with not a single watermark in sight.

Revealing her secret, the mum shared it was Simple Green Shower Glass Restorer, available from Bunnings for $15.49.

The product is described as a "natural abrasive paste" that "actually rubs off the hard water build-up on your shower glass surfaces".

"Hard water deposits or ‘calcium’ grow quickly and unless kept in check soon build to an impenetrable layer that only an abrasive will remove," the Bunnings’ website states.

Viewers who saw the mum's post on social media were stunned by the transformation.

"Wow, that's amazing. Adding to my Bunnings list," wrote one.

"Wow, that's impressive," added another.

"Love this stuff," a third wrote.

This shopper's cleaning tip came hot on the heels of another - which intrigued Facebook viewers across Australia.

An Aussie mum shared her daughter's science project with the same Facebook page - comparing different stain removers from Coles and Woolworths to find which one was the best.

The Year 10 science student compared Clean Ultimate, Vanish Oxi Action and Sard Power against a tomato sauce stain on a white piece of fabric.

And, although it was a tight race, there could only be one winner.

"My daughter did a stain removal experiment for her science assessment. Thought I’d share the results with you," the mum wrote in the post.

"She was testing which stain remover is most efficient. Used tomato sauce for the stain. Waited til the sauce was mostly dry.

"Sprayed each stain remover brands on three of the stained fabrics and let it soak for five minutes.

"Rinsed with water two minutes afterwards."

The photos of the experiment showed a pretty tight race between the three brands, so people took to the comments to decide for themselves which brand took the top spot as the "most efficient".

"Results look pretty similar, am I right? Would be interested to know if the active ingredients are the same in each," said one person.

"Looks like Sard was the winner?" another wrote.

"I’m surprised by the Vanish... didn't do as well as the others," said a third.

"Interesting. Not much in it, but price might well be the deciding factor!" someone wrote.

Later in the comment section, the school student's mum revealed the winner.

"She reported in her assessment that the first one, the Clean Ultimate, was the better result," she wrote.

You can buy Clean Ultimate from Woolworths for $2.15, while Sard and Vanish Oxi are available from Coles and Woolworths for $5 or more.
