Matthew Perry Buys Hollywood Hills Midcentury Home for $5 Million

Actor Matthew Perry has added a serene, sun-flooded midcentury home to his LA real estate portfolio. The Friends star, who also owns a contemporary $6 million Pacific Palisades pad, dropped just under $5 million for his new abode in the Hollywood Hills in an off-market deal, according to Dirt.

Situated on a sloped 0.22-acre plot, the all-white house's exterior resembles a more modest version of the actor's former $13.5 million Hollywood Hills residence. The freshly renovated 1957 build spans 2,566 square feet, offering three bedrooms and four bathrooms. Perry scooped the dwelling up for a discount; it was initially listed in September 2022 for just under $6 million.

A set of floating concrete steps leads up to an oversized front door, flanked by a row of floor-to-ceiling windows and an attached two-car garage. Visitors are greeted by an atrium-style entryway with stone tile floors and an all-glass ceiling that allows pools of natural light to stream in. Further inside, an open living space and a formal dining room share a double-sided fireplace and also boast blonde hardwood floors as well as walls of glass. The home's windowed white kitchen has a breakfast bar peninsula and a dramatic black stone backsplash. Its backyard hosts a covered patio and a poolside electric fire pit. For indoor entertaining, a black-walled media room offers a projector setup with surround sound.

Each of the home's three bedrooms boasts a sleek stone-clad ensuite bathroom. The primary suite enjoys a double vanity, a soaking tub with a wall-mounted TV, and a glass-walled rain shower.

Perry, who released his memoir Friends, Lovers, and The Big Terrible Thing last year, previously owned a condo in the celebrity-beloved Sierra Towers, a Malibu beach house that he listed around the time he picked up his Pacific Palisades property, and a $35 million penthouse, now owned by Rihanna.
