Sep 01, 2023TD Garden windows shattered, possible gunfire reported: Boston police
Two glass windows at Boston's TD Garden were shattered Friday morning, apparently by BB gun pellets, according to police documents. It's the second such incident in about two weeks.
An employee of the arena told investigators that the sound of the Friday's incident, "two loud smacks," was the same as when it happened on Thursday, June 1, according to a Boston police report.
No one was hurt in either case. It wasn't immediately clear why someone would shoot at TD Garden, where the Boston Celtics and Boston Bruins play.

Friday's apparent shooting was reported about 10:36 a.m. Officers found two double-pane windows shattered with a spiderweb pattern, according to the police report. Investigators found no evidence of bullet fragments or casings outside or any evidence inside the office.
In Thursday's apparent shooting, reported about 1:23 p.m., one window was damaged on the same floor, according to the police report for that incident. An employee was sitting in the office at the time and "heard a THUD noise coming from an office cubicle near the window facing out towards the Zakim Bridge," then saw a shattered window with a small hole in it.
Investigators found no evidence inside or outside the arena in that case as well.
Three window panels facing Interstate 93/the Zakim Bridge appeared to be shattered by Friday morning, and police were seen working in the area.
